Building a new home can feel like a
daunting task. Because
of this we believe it is important to understand it is a process with an end. We have been through the process
several times in the past and we know each step intimately. We believe our
methodology will help to simplify the home building process.
What type of
new home is right for you?
Do you want to move into a new
home right away or are
you looking to build a home based on your specific needs? If time is of the
essence, you will want to consider looking at one of our homes in inventory or
one that has already been planned. These homes will provide all the luxury of a
new home but all the design and development work has been completed for you.
Selecting the right builder
Select a builder who befits
your needs. Review there history and take the time to see homes they have built
in the past. Figure out when they are available to build your home.
Ask is they will provide a warranty and check their financial viability.
Finally, take the time to contact their references.
Location, Location, Location
Within a community, you'll
be able to choose the location of your lot. This community may also include
clubhouses, pools, golf courses, sports activity centers and other amenities, so
you'll want to be sure to get information on the entire community, as well as
the proximity of the available lots to these amenities. Typically, lots located
close to such attractions as golf courses, clubhouses or lakes maintain a higher
re-sale value. You may also have another location in mind or have land
that you own and would like to build on. We will work with whichever
options you have to make the process as simple as possible.
Financing
Figure out how much you
will need to borrow and investigate rates from several institutions. Keep
in mind that your loan need to be approved when you finalize the sales contract
with the builder, but you won't assume the mortgage until the house is closed.
During this time you may also decide you want to add more options.
Choosing your home and selecting the options
If you are selecting a home
from an inventory of existing plans there are several things you need to
consider. Such as, how many bedrooms and bathrooms, do you need a garage, if so
for how many cars? How many stories would you like? Once you've selected a
home, you can then personalize it and make it your own.
Begin Construction!
The building process can vary based on the specifications
of your home. Once construction begins we encourage you to play an central
role in the process. Visit the job site to make sure we are fulfilling you
expectations.
Together, we will build your dreams from the
ground up!
